Share beautiful learning experiences with any teacher in the world!

SUMMARY:

    1. Over the last 12 months we’ve been working together with educators and schools around the country on a solution to the curriculum sharing problem.
    2. Now when an amazing learning experience is created in Australia, India or anywhere else in the world, it can be easily shared amongst colleagues in a ready to use form, that ties into a beautiful workflow designed specifically for teachers. Collaborating seamlessly across schools has always been a dream. Why doesn’t someone make it a reality?

Teacher Collaboration myEdApp

Cross school collaboration is broken. We just don’t realise it yet.

Want to collaborate with another educator in another school? Great! Let’s call a professional day together. Let’s maybe get some google hangouts going. But that’s about it… Cross-school collaboration is broken. We just don’t realise it yet.

PROBLEM #1 – Silos of innovation Teacher Silos Working with schools all around the country, we see unbelievable pockets of innovation in teaching and learning. We then go to another school, and see similarly like-minded and passionate teachers building, inventing and re-imagining a similar learning experience, but from scratch. Coming across the same pitfalls and learnings the last school we met faced just weeks before…

PROBLEM #2 – The insanity of the single resources mess

resources As a teacher, the great news is there are literally millions of free resources online on so many different topics! Many educators around the world share this same dream, that’s why there are so many other hundreds of thousands of teachers and schools sharing their resources online.

So what’s the problem?

Yes there is a plethora of resources. In fact so much so that it can be overwhelming. How can you figure out which ones are valuable? Even when they are, your students are unique and so is your learning community. To really resonate with them you want to be able to easily and quickly contextualise. Cut and paste bits, in and out. But in most cases, this is easier said than done.

Ultimately…your search leads to what can feel more like time spent on sorting and reviewing as opposed to actually using them to really engage your students.

Sound familiar?

PROBLEM #3 – The burden of the current teacher workflow

Now, once you’ve managed to sift through the insanity of the resources mess, spending hours looking through hundreds of resources, mentally reviewed them and seeing where they fit in with the curriculum blueprint.

Stressed Teacher

You then have to spend even more time placing it into a beautiful sequence of learning for your students, which often results in lots of paper worksheets, lots of time spent in front of the photocopier, a one size fits all approach for your students and in the words of the Mitchell Institute “simple human fatigue [that] prevents real progress in student learning”. It’s time for a change.
